any fans of The Wire here? I think Eli was into it...I've been watching it a lot lately, and I'm getting up to season 5 now.
I've got many strong opinions about it, which we can get into in the replies if there is interest, but I just learned that the actors who play Stringer Bell and Jimmy McNulty are both English, and Thomas Carcetti is Irish. That last one is less surprising, but the Stringer Bell thing is so amazing to me I just had to post right away! Incredible!
also, sorry to say I was unsuccessful in my pitch last week, for those of you who were in the loop. I did get to see the 007 sound stage, though, and the whole experience was hilarious in general. (sorry to be so vague, i can't really talk about it too much online)
