I posted the remix, the golden guy, and the chrome spheres thing. maybe I should setup a way that you can see who posted what, and put comments on the files.

wah that white stripes remix is so so so much better than the original.

This is a really cool collection of 1 second pieces of sound and music, in celebration of the leap second that occured this past week...

Yann, feel free to unplug my space heater and roll it over to your room during the day. The controls are kinda silly, but you'll figure it out easily. There are three power level settings and a temperature setting.

yeah sure. maybe someone has a space heater they're not using during the day that i could use to warm up my room?

lowering the heat during the day makes perfect sense to me. I don't spend very much time on the first floor and I have a space heater.

yann?

what do people think about having titles for their post? or is that whaqq?

also - for those livin in the mode, since winter has definitely onset, can i make a couple cold-time cash saving suggestions?

jon and yann, i don't want to think that this is something targeted against you dudes, but i think we should consider lowering the heat dramatically during the day. 2/3 of the house is gone during that time and I think it would be much MUCH cheaper to just rely on space-heaters.

I get up around 7/7:30 and could turn it off then and then maybe we can turn it back up (to about 60) at like 5? And if we all pitch in, I think we could get a bigger space heater for the downstairs and really keep the heat down.

I know this kinda sucks, but I think the spike in our electricity bill would be more than offset by the decrease in gas use. Our house is pretty huge and even if all 6 of us are snugly tucked away at night, we are still throwing heat at three big rooms with high ceilings and large windows on the first floor.

I added a picture of an "artifical cow" being mounted by a bull. A very intriguing form but no artistry in the details.

I tried to add this Q&A with the folks from Syriana but Jon was right about over 10 MB being a little too big. Anyway:

Also, is this a good design in response to a fucked up situation? Or a fucked up design in a fucked up situation? Historically: "Until 1888, women left newborns in Padua outside the Ognissanti Church, onto a sort of lazy Susan that, with a spin of the wheel sent the kid into an orphanage run by nuns."

Also, rock on Jon for the awesome changes to the shoutboard. One idea, maybe move "new post" to the top right corner in a third column?

who is responsible for the school of design website? has anyone sent them a letter yet?

I used to get a bunch of hits to my website from the school of design website. I havn't really checked where they are coming from recently.

OMG, in response to Eli's comment last night that all the ID students in our class are listed as "Communication Design" on the School of Design Website... It's even worse. Piama, Cynthia, and Jeff are listed as "First Year".

Agata and Derek are labeled "Industrial Design" though. ??
