I've got dropbox invites for party peoples.
It does more than just file sharing or backup, it syncs up files between computers and keeps previous versions if things get messy.

Neal Adams believes the Earth is growing, and he does not believe in Pangaea.

"Architecture for Humanity is teaming with Google SketchUp to host "Sportables," a one-week design sprint. Nothing connects kids like the power of play. Yet, too often kids cannot afford necessary equipment and do not have access to competitive facilities. How can we build a unit that turns would-be play spaces around the world into instant stadiums--equipment and all? Help us design a demountable play space and equipment library. Designs will be showcased on the Open Architecture Network and on Google SketchUp's 3D Warehouse. The winning team will receive $1,000 design stipend to further develop their concept."
Deadline: June 30, 2008

From Democracy Now!:
New York's Whitney Museum is opening an exhibition this week bringing
together the work of architect and visionary, R. Buckminster Fuller. More
than two decades after his death, Fuller continues to inspire efforts for a
more sustainable planet in the twenty-first century. From his famous
geodesic dome to his shunned electric car, Fuller employed design to tackle
problems including homelessness and environmental degradation.
Related to Jon's post last week, I want a second-hand Chuck-E-Cheese robot band! They lose points for not actually playing the instruments, but the lipsynch software stuff seems pretty decent.
