for context, I responded to an email from the tartan calling for people to help with the special issue formerly known as the natrat.

Dear Jonathan,

Sorry to be rude, but hell no. We're going to make something that is
better than the read.me. We're going to put thought into what we put
out, and make it look good. While they do have more "practice," we
have writers that write snarky things all the time, and OUR writers
would jump at the chance to write something funny for a change. And
while we do have "experience" with getting shut down, it's not like
we don't know how to avoid it. We'd love it if you'd like to help,
though.
