i thought processing was built on top of java already... but i don't really know what i'm talking about. (not nerdy enough?) what am i not getting?
wait... is this a java vs. javascript thing? oooohhh. i'm an idiot.
yeah, processing is java.
javascript, altho it has java in the title is an entirely different language that is notable because it is hella quick to write code in. It is also notable because it incorporates lots of stuff from the CS end of the coding spectrum and not as much from the engineering end of the spectrum.
also, tho java runs as applets inside of the browser this is running inside of the canvas element, a pretty cutting edge html tag that allows for hardware accelerated graphics.
HAHA.
you wrote that in the time it too me to write a post.
thanks marketing honchos at netscape; you're confusion ploy works on the innocent and stupid (me).
Onny, this is slightly OT, but did you ever get someone to sub for you for that trip to Germany?
Nevermind, just figured out what the strikethroughs meant. Bummer.
