I mean, a song that is clearly about the life and times of a walking insect tank.
Maybe there is a connection between insect tanks and Dubai?
The visuals at the beginning were quite Neuromancer-y. Neon spires piercing the infinite blackness.

I am still trying to figure out who that first vid is targeted at. I find it really really unnerving for a multitude of reasons, beyond the choice of music.
It is actually a demo video for an architectural visualization firm that has done a lot of work in Dubai.

I don't really know, Eli. As far as I can tell, it started out as part of some guy's demo reel based on a well done UFO hoax called CARET. Then Alienware's ad agents managed to tap the myth and turn it into a viral marketing campaign for their new notebooks.
I've got links bookmarked at work. I'll update tomorrow. Google "CARET" "Alienware" "UFO" or any combination thereof for some background.
