Folks might enjoy this post on Kerry riding his road bike like he "stole it from the GOP." Ha!

Also, posting from Google Chrome. Who else is trying it out? A review of the reviews here.

Google Chrome looks like some hot shit, wish I could install it at work where I do 2/3 my computing. Crash manager sounds genius if it works like I hope with the tabs functioning independently (maybe this allows for browsing other tabs more easily if one has hung up but not crashed completely?). I wonder how the memory management is.

chrome is teh snappy, like the webkit nightly builds on my mac without the mysterious hangups. oh man it's welcome fast. noticeably faster than ff3 (at javascript-driven websites).

re: memory usage
i have the same tabs open in ff and chrome: 2 gmail tabs, 1 gcal, partymode, that salon article linked to above and our internal project site. while ff is one process, chrome splits them up.

ff: 124MB
chrome: 8 + 30 + 8 + 37 + 26 + 42 + 14 = 165MB

of course, the numbers would be different if I had been running these all day--chrome touts its garbage collection.

What did you guys think of how the announcement was made in comic book form?

I liked it mostly, but even in comic form, I find discussions about internet security to be more than a little dull. I skipped the last half.
