Also gotta remember to go ahead and buy the smaller camera i have been meaning to get for a whiles. Speaking of... does anyone recommend a pocket sized digital camera? Around the range of $200-300?
I got a Canon PowerShot A590 this summer for work and it's doing great. It's 8 megapixels, does movies, has fully manual settings, the whole nine yards.

iphone photo tip: as with most touchscreen controls, the camera takes a pic when the camera button is released. hold down the button, frame the shot and then release your finger. this should reduce camera shake a ton.

Definitely PhArty Mode.
PhArty Mode is funny, but PhotoMode is generic enough to let us use the group for whatever topics/projects we might want in the future--be they fun or more serious.
