oh great. we hate spain now.
what i don't understand is why the spokesperson backed mccain up on this. i guess it's better to hate on spain than to acknowledge that you can't remember the prime minister's name or that you thought you were talking about zapatistas or something.

unfortunately that is all i have to add right now.
Ah, I might share a few good sources that are keeping me informed and grounded despite the echo chamber of the MSM. NY Times and WashPo are OK as far as they go but some decent progressive analysis can really help you put the daily nonsense in perspective.

Oh, and one more,

"Lower Middle Class: OH HAI! I CAN HAS HOUS?
Bank: I HAS A SUBPRIME MORTGAGE OFFR 4 U. LET ME SHOW U IT.
Lower Middle Class: KOOL. LOL!
Couple years later...
Lower Middle Class: U MEANS I HAS TO PAY MORE EVERY MONTHS? FAIL
Bank: OH NOES! WE WERE COUNTIN ON UR PAYIN US
Lower Middle Class: NO, THEY BE TAKIN' MAH HOUS
Bank: ALL UR HOUSES ARE BELONG TO US. BUT NO ONE BUYIN'! FAIL"
i like yglesias, but i can't get into digby and crew. i read it, but, i dunno... i think they are sometimes more reactive than thoughtful.
andrew sullivan has also become more shrill. which is a shame, but it apparently has really helped his ratings. just like negative ads work.
i try to read nro's the corner, even though it's painful, for balance. sometimes that doesn't work.
i'll have to try to others.
