i read someone who described buzz thus: "Hey do you like Gmail? Do you want to have Gmail inside your Gmail?"
cynicism aside, i haven't tried it. I don't use the gmail browser interface anyway, and I'm waiting for someone to introduce something for the internet that doesn't involve sharing things found on the internet with other people on the internet.

do you want facebook / twitter / all your other shit..
I am not unimpressed, and kinda blown away by the forcefulness with which they deployed it. I don't think I have ever had software put upon me in this way.

I haven't really used it yet because i haven't had the time to really explore what it is. I figured it was some branch out of Wave which i also never got around to using...

Google Buzz is pretty smart for us Gmail users methinks (the name is mega-blah though.)
Think of it more as social networking aggregator than it's own thing (the teenage sibling to Google Reader and Google News.)
Then again, like Twitter, I'm really just going to follow it and not feed it.
There has been a bit of discussion around the privacy issues with defaulting to sharing your whole network on your profile. I'm also hoping there is an option to suppress the number of new updates next to the icon. It is so much less essential than e-mail I don't think it is comparable to my inbox.
Well you can turn off Buzz completely, which i just did. It removes it from the left nav. I wish it just showed up as a folder and i could still access it if i wanted, but meh, i would probably never use it anyways.
you can drag it into teh "other labels" folder.
er, the one that says "18 more" or whatever.
heh, you also have 18 folders? Funny. must be a magic number.
