That place looks adorable. Also, PUFFINS!!
Yeah, everyone thought the puffins wouldn't have arrived yet, but there were three! very cool. i saw one flying too, which was about the funniest thing of all time.
also, re: shetland ponies. the guy who was driving us around said "och, the ponies, they're fuckin crabby bastards, they are. they've got a wee man complex."
also also, fun fact! Shetland is the second richest district in the UK, after Westminster in London. they made some very very astute deals with the oil companies and the UK government when oil started getting pumped offshore. so they've got really nice roads, schools, hospitals, and (good for us) arts festivals and venues.
